Regional Service Manager Central Europe
In my position as Regional Service Manager Central Europe I am responsible for the management and organisation of Munters Service Teams in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic and Poland.
What's the most innovative Munters initiative or change that you are most proud of?
In the last three years we made eight new hires and our turnover has increased by 60%. I am really proud to be part of such a strong and innovative team.
Maybe you know the game “I pack my bag and take with me…”Tell me 3 things you pack from your daily life, which you need or which characterize you, and tell me why they are important for you.
First there is my great wife, because she is my support and backup and the best adviser in every situation. Also very important: laughter - everything is easier with a smile. Last but not least, a good glass of an aged red wine. Why? Let's do a tasting and you will know.
Tell me about a fun experience at Munters
I have been working for Munters for over 20 years now, therefore there is a lot to laugh about. But a special moment I remember was our summer party in 2014. Our theme was “Oktoberfest,” referring to the famous and traditional annual festival in Munich, Germany. We had fantastic weather and the atmosphere was amazing. Everything was decorated in blue and white, we had traditional games like high striker, we had bull riding, and the dance floor that evening was on fire.
What challenges do you face in your day-to-day job?
We face constant changes in growth and progress. In order to keep up with this, we have to challenge ourselves every day. To manage the challenges (big and small) of the service team and all related tasks is a 24 hour job, and it’s a large portion of my life. Also, after 20 years in business, there are always new challenges and issues to solve. It’s my passion to find the best solutions for customer needs and issues and finally to support clients with the best service around.
What would a perfect Sunday be like for you?
A perfect Sunday would be getting up early and sitting on my porch with a hot cup of coffee. Cooking lunch and going out for a walk. In the evening having a BBQ with friends and a beer. You see, I like to enjoy things.
What would your best career advice be for a new employee who is about to start a career with Munters?
It is a pleasure for me to be able to work for Munters. I would advise everyone to be patient and to take the chances that are offered, to work with enthusiasm and commitment at every possible chance. Sometimes it might take a little longer before you will get a chance... but patience is key. Your time will come.
What’s the best part of your job or (department, working day)?
That's an easy one. The people!! I have the most amazing team, colleagues and after over 20 years, friends I could work with.
