Munters DryCool™ ERV Receives Honorable Mention Innovation Award

The 2016 AHR Expo Innovations Awards competition has recognized Munters DryCool™ ERV DOAS System with an Honorable Mention Award in the Ventilation Category.

The annual competition honors the most inventive and original products, systems and technologies showcased at each year’s Show.  This year's winners were selected by a panel of third-party ASHRAE member judges who evaluated all award entries based on innovative design, creativity, application, value and market impact.  Award winners will be recognized in a formal ceremony at the 2016 AHR Expo, set for January 25-27 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Flordia.

The Munters DryCool™ ERV product combines desiccant dehumidification with total energy recovery. The unit supplies 100% make-up air utilizing energy recovery from the exhaust air stream.  Munters DryCool™ ERV systems offer industry leading Integrated Seasonal Moisture Removal Efficiency (ISMRE) as regulated by AHRI Standard 920.  Based upon AHRI 920, ASHRAE 90.1 – 2016 will define and establish, for the first time, the minimum ISMRE to reflect this code/standard requirement for Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS).
