Munters began working with Sabey data centers over five years ago, to customize an air handling solution that will work with Sabey data center's specific cooling needs and challenges. Five years later, Sabey speaks to their satisfaction with the Munters cooling solution, the better than expected energy savings and a trusted partnership.
We went back to the Intergate.Quincy campus and interviewed V.P. John Sasser and Operations Manager, Ryan Beebout to get their perspectives on how the Munters Oasis® Indirect evaporative cooling units were performing after more than five years. It became very evident during the conversation that both John and Ryan are happy with the Munters solution.
John Sasser discusses the use of Munter's indirect evaporative cooling (IEC) and how it has enabled Sabey to achieve average annual power utilization effectiveness (PUE) of 1.13. That is an excellent number, one that has helped Sabey to make their goal of “Most improved energy efficient data center,” under the Better Buildings Challenge sponsored by the department of energy.
Watch the full-length interview with discussions of the various needs for the Intergate.Quincy operation and how the Munters air handlers are meeting expectations with topics such as Water Quality, Air Quality, PUE & Efficiency and Indirect Evaporative Cooling. Each of these issues is available in compact video versions called, “Shorts," for quick viewing.
Full access to the Sabey case study and video's, both then and now, are available here.
