Drying delicate garments for the Italian catholic church
The idea began with a request from Padre Economo, who is an existing customer using Munters climate control for his library using two MLT800s. His latest requirement from Munters was to solve the problem of drying cassocks for 100 people, all brothers of the Italian catholic church. Their vestments are ceremonial garments worn during religious functions whilst performing sacred rites. The cassocks need to be handled with care because of their delicate nature, so Padre Economo turned to Munters to find a drying method.
After surveying the room that would be used for the dryer, Munters provided an economic appraisal of the investment and energy running costs. The result was a Munters MLT30, where the initial investment and running costs of the Munters dehumidifier were lower than traditional systems in terms of first purchase costs as well as energy running costs.
The Munters dehumidifier works with a simple power switch, which is easy for people to use working in the drying room, which functions like a washing machine with warm, dry air. The average drying time, with the maximum quantity of cassocks, is just 15 minutes drying needed.
Thanks to Munters dehumidifier, the priesthood can change their wardrobe of sacerdotel garments extra quickly and without any damage!
