Air Quality in Livestock

In order to maximize the productivity and prevent disease inside a livestock structure, specific attention needs to be directed to the air quality factor.

For animals, and humans working in the environment, air quality is crucial. Oxygen supply and harmful gases exhaustion is instrumental as is ventilation for heat and moisture removal and additional cooling during the warmest periods. Broilers will not fully attain its genetic productive potential unless kept in a controlled climate environment. The same way, layers will not produce the same amount of eggs with required weight and shell strength unless the climate is controlled. Pigs have a similar need of climate control due to air quality in order to perform their best during the production phase.
