Stable indoor climate with AI Control
Jul 8, 2025
AI-based control introduces entirely new possibilities for achieving more energy-efficient climate control and enhanced operational accuracy. Munters has developed a new system, AI Control, that uses this technology to automatically adjust production environments. All it takes is attaching a compact module to an existing dehumidification unit.
AI Control is Munters new smart control strategy that automatically adjusts the climate system based on data collected from existing sensors. All that is needed is a small module attached to the dehumidifier as a complement to the existing control system.
“The system collects data from the dehumidifier and its surroundings using sensors, enabling predictive analysis. This allows for more precise decision-making to maintain the correct humidity level,” explains Fredrik Raak, AI Engineering Specialist at Munters’ AirTech business area.
This automatic optimization leads to higher precision, improved stability, and increased energy efficiency.
“During lab testing, we quickly saw the potential for significant energy savings using AI. Now, after real-world trials with customers, our expectations have been confirmed. We’ve observed energy savings of up to 30%,” Raak adds.
The key difference between AI Control and conventional regulation is the system’s integrated intelligence, which enables far more accurate control and energy optimization.
“Our customers are highly interested in energy-efficient solutions,” says Raak. With AI Control, we can help them reduce both energy costs and environmental impact.”
Delivering high-quality products remains a top priority for Munters. The company will continue testing its patent-pending technology in various customer environments before launching it globally.
“We expect to offer AI-driven climate control solutions on a larger scale in the near future,” Raak concludes.
