Dehumidification ensures the best storage conditions for film
Films are stored in stable conditions at a temperature of 5°C and a relative humidity of 30% RH.
The films were previously stored in a warehouse, in which a cooling system alone should ensure the proper temperature and humidity conditions. However, the relative humidity could not be kept constant and sufficiently low all year round.
Since the new facilities in Glostrup be installed, it was crucial that the storage conditions were stable. Without Munters cooling systems ,the archive room of 2.500m3 room was like a fridge, now cooling and temperature are controlled independently. The dehumidifier draws the air from the cooling space and dehumidify the air by passing through the dehumidifier rotor. The air to be dried passes through the desiccant wheel and the desiccant removes the water vapor directly from the air and holds it while rotating.
As the moisture-laden desiccant passes through the regeneration sector, the water vapor is transferred to a heated airstream, which is exhausted to the outside.
This process is continuous, allowing for highly effective and uninterrupted dehumidification.
