Munters keeps its B rating

Feb 22, 2024

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) has awarded Munters a "B" for its efforts to reduce its environmental impact in 2023. This is the same score it received last year, which is on par with its peers and most companies in Europe.

Munters has reported to CDP since 2019. The goal is to continuously improve the score to reach the A-level, which is the leadership level where companies set best practices to address climate change.

Munters is among the 44% of companies in its peer group that have reached "Management-level", which is a level where companies take joint action on climate issues.

The categories where Munters scored better than its peers in 2023 are “Governance” and “Opportunity Disclosure”. What needs more work is to improve risk discloure, develop detailed climate mitigate initiatives and set targets for Scope 3 emissions.

Maj-Britt Hällmark, sustainability advisor at Munters, has no doubt that the company will rise to the challenge and score higher in the future: "We have many exciting projects going on at the same time," she says. "For example, this year we will complete the mapping of our Scope 3 emissions. In addition, we now have a roadmap in place to reduce emissions in most of our factories to reach net zero emissions by 2030."
