Munters establishes MTN-program and Green Bond Framework

May 30, 2025

Munters Group AB (Munters) has established a Medium Term Note (MTN) program with a framework amount of SEK 5 billion and a green bond framework.

Munters current debt financing mainly consists of bank loans and commercial papers. With the new MTN-program, Munters aims to further diversify its funding sources. The base prospectus for the program has today been approved and registered by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) and will be published on Munters website.

Munters has also established a green bond framework enabling the company to issue green bonds under the MTN-program. The green bond framework is established in line with ICMA’s (International Capital Market Association) Green Bond Principles, and has been evaluated by an independent third party, Moody’s Investor Service.

The base prospectus, the green bond framework and Moody’s second party opinion are available on Munters website: www.munters.com/en-us/investors/creditmarket/

“Establishing an MTN-program alongside a green bond framework is a strategically important step in our financing strategy. It enhances our financial flexibility and enables us to further diversify our funding base – fully aligned with our ambition to strengthen our position as a long-term sustainable company.” says Katharina Fischer, CFO and GVP at Munters.

Nordea has been appointed arranger of the MTN-program and will also act as dealer together with SEB, Swedbank, Danske Bank & Handelsbanken. Mannheimer Swartling acted as legal advisor to Munters.
