These past years Munters has experienced phenomenal growth in the Data Center cooling business.

The rapid adoption of evaporative cooling technologies in a market that was previously dominated by chillers and CRAC units, has resulted in rapid growth for this 60-year-old business.  Responding to an almost 3-fold year-on-year expansion, Munters Board has approved the establishment of “Munters Data Centers” as an independent Business Area within the Group, totally focused on energy efficient Data Centre cooling technologies.

Heading up the new business area is Neil Yule, President, Data Centers

Previously European System Sales Director at Fläkt Woods before joining Munters in 2011 as Global Business Development Director, Neil leads a team of dedicated Application Engineers, Project Managers and Designers, working with Key Account Managers and Customer Care Teams to support Design Consultancies and large scale Data Center Operators around the globe.   With a client list that now includes most of the leading Digital and Social Media companies, along with large-scale Co-Location Data Center operators worldwide, Munters is building its worldwide capacity, with significant investments in additional R&D and manufacturing facilities.

“It’s an exciting time to working in the Data Center cooling business and we’re enjoying the ride!  Munters has always been known as a strong technical innovator and our evaporative cooling solutions are proving extremely popular, at a time when DC operators are searching for ways to reduce operating costs whilst maintaining the highest possible uptime standards.

We have a pipeline of technical innovations that will be launched over the coming months, enabling us to keep working with our clients to push the limit of what’s achievable in terms of energy efficiency, water preservation and controls functionality” said Neil.
