Giacomo Sicardi

Application engineer Giacomo Sicardi uses smart tools in his job. This allows him to focus on important things, such as helping his customers choose the most energy-efficient solutions.

Why is sustainability important to you?

Sustainability or sustainable development is about "meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs". This means that we have a limited amount of resources at our disposal. If we cross the line of what is sustainable, future generations will not have the same opportunities we enjoy today.

How do you contribute to a more sustainable Munters?

We use smart tools to reduce time spent on repetitive tasks, such as quotes. This frees up time to plan for other more important things.

We always argue for the most energy-efficient solutions. Less energy leads to lower costs and fewer emissions. To support our argument, we use various tools to show our customers how much energy they use in a year.

How do you contribute to a more sustainable world?

There are several activities we can do to be more sustainable:

• Consume less
• Reduce waste
• Reduce unnecessary travel and have online meetings instead

I try to consume less, limit travel, and use an electric motorcycle to get around. I also try to reduce my energy consumption by using energy-efficient products, such as LED lights.
