Christine Hagman

Christine Hagman works with sourcing at Munters. She is a strong advocate for the digitization of procedures and signing processes, which reduces paper consumption and the daily tasks that do not add value.

What does sustainability mean to you?

Sustainability is the ability to constantly exist. For me, it means harmony, serenity and leaving a better place for future generations.

How do you or your team contribute to a more sustainable Munters?

I am a strong advocate for the digitization of procedures and signing processes, which reduces paper consumption and the daily tasks that do not add value.

At Sourcing, we strive to analyze the total cost of our components, from purchase to delivery at our production facilities. This helps us to reduce our use of materials, promote short logistic chains and avoid long transports.

It is also very important for Munters that our suppliers act responsibly and sustainably. We therefore ask them to sign and follow our code of conduct.

Covid-19 has increased our digital way of working. Today, we hold our meetings via Teams. In the future, we will work more from home and travel less, which will have a positive impact on the environment.

How do you contribute to a more sustainable world?

My family and I try to buy sustainable products, eat fruits and vegetables that are in season or locally grown and reduce our meat consumption. For clothes, I look for vintage and second hand and recycle what I can.

I avoid driving and choose to cycle to the office when I can. That way, I get some exercise and fresh air while keeping my distance to others.
