On May 8, Munters marked a major milestone in its growth journey in China—celebrating 30 years of local presence and inaugurating a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province. Operations are transitioning from a previous facility to the new, modern site.

The opening event brought together local government officials, industry experts, business partners, and representatives of Munters Group to recognize the company’s strong and growing commitment to the Chinese market.

An investment in local capabilities

The modern factory spans 28,000 square meters and will house the production of AirTech’s systems and units in the Industrial segment. In addition to advanced manufacturing, the site includes a center for R&D and a newly established Munters Academy, both designed to support customer success and service excellence throughout China and the Asia-Pacific region.

Strengthening Swedish-Chinese industrial cooperation

The opening coincided with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Sweden and China. Sweden’s Consul General in Shanghai, Ms. Marie-Claire Swärd Capra, shared a congratulatory message, emphasizing the significance of the partnership and Munters role in advancing industrial innovation between the two countries.

Looking ahead: Growth and innovation

During the event, Munters Group CEO Klas Forsström, reflected on the company’s 70-year global legacy, built on continuous innovation and strong customer collaboration.
