I am the production manager at Rotem-MIS. My position enables me to implement both professional and interpersonal abilities.I always feel challenged by new targets from an arrayof aspects both local or global.
Working with people and the dynamics that are created, are a major part of the advantages that I see in my job. This goes together with excellent cooperation with both local and regional managers.
What's the most innovative Munters product or changes that you are most "proud" of?
In my point of view, the change I lead throughout the “ move” of the company from one site to another was an enormous project leading to local and global cooperation. The team work and effort invested by all parties involved, from blue collar workers to managers, manifests greatly the ONE MUNTERS values. This was not merely a move but also an enhancement for growth, efficiency and improvement to which there is practical proof in the field.
Maybe you know the game “I pack my bag and take with me…”; Give me 3 things you pack from your daily life which you need or characterize you and tell me why it is important for you.
First of all, my family . Although naturally too too big to be packed, symbolically, my wife, my daughter and my son would gladly hop on into my bag. Recently there has been a new addition to the family- my one year old granddaughter- who is the torchlight for all of us. However, practically speaking, couldn’t see myself going out without a map and a travel guide. In addition, there is always a basketball in the boot of my car. Last but not least, you will not catch me without a“ to do list”.
Tell me about a fun experience at Munters
I was very proud to be chosen to take part in the Munters Ambassador Program. One of Rotem's ambassadors team assignments was to convey the term of “ Munters house”. We recruited the whole staff during "a company day" and we practically built the Munters house with the help of all employees . The whole project was eternalized in a video film .This video was presented at the MAP session in China to the applauds of the participants. You are most welcome to watch it in "Munters world".The production of this movie was a fun experience in itself.
What challenges are you facing in your day-to-day job?
There is no challenge that we can’t defeat” that has been Rotem’s motto since it was founded and has become my motto in life. The challenges are numerous: standing up to targets, doing the utmost to achieve customers' satisfaction and, most of all, developing and maintaining a work environment of loyal ,motivated, satisfied workers who are happy to come to work and eager to take the company one step ahead. In my day to day job I face challenges constantly. We try to approach them in innovative, positive and creative ways. It is always done in cooperation with managers and teams
What would a perfect Sunday be like for you?
In my country, Sunday is a working day but Friday and Saturday are our weekend days off. Traditionally, the whole family gathers around the Friday night dinner table. This is an excellent opportunity to meet, listen and hear everyone and take a break from the ratrace. I live by the sea and I love to spend the peaceful Saturday mornings walking my dog along the beach, which is always a mind refreshing experience. Later on I could engage in a good basketball game, if possible.
What would your best career advice be for a new employee who is about to start a career with Munters?
Munters is a good working place, it's home for some of us. If you share Munters core values of teamwork, passion for results, the rule that "there is always a better way" in addition to sustainable value creation, you are in the right place. If an employee proves himself and can be trusted, there is also potential for promotion . The sky is the limit
What’s the best part of your job or department?
Rotem-MIS is my second home. I really feel like in a big family. Zion and Sari Halfon, the founders of Rotem, are a good example for the implementation of the biblical commandment “ love thy neighbor as thyself”.This is their legacy which has also become their way of life. I feel privileged to work for a global, innovative company from whose managers and employees I find myself learning and equipping my toolbox daily.
