I’m the webmaster for Munters.com which means that I’m responsible for our global external website and our social media channels. I make sure our technical platform fulfil our needs and it keep pace with technology.
What's the most innovative Munters product or initiatives that you are most "proud" of?
It’s hard to say just one, I think it’s amazing that the basic principle that Carl Munters’ invented in the 1950s is still used today.
Maybe you know the game “I pack my bag and take with me…” Give me 3 things you pack from your daily life which you need or characterize you and tell me why it is important for you.
My phone – I talk with a lot of colleagues and agencies during my workday and also listen to a lot of music on Spotify.
Headphones – I listen to a lot of music, both while I’m working and on my way to the office.
Dog treats – I have two dogs at home who love a treat every now and then.
How would you say that your bag items reflect you?
I love being online and connected to all the things the web has to offer, but I also love being outdoors and get the “back to basic” feeling that the forest provides.
Tell me about a fun experience at Munters
I really like being part of a global company and get the chance to travel! During my visit in Japan we stopped at a traffic light and in the lane next to me stood a go-cart with a driver dressed as Super Mario. I grew up playing Mario Carts so I thought it was hilarious!
What challenges are you facing in your day-to-day job?
Every day brings new challenges and opportunities. Sometimes it can be to help an editor in Asia with their web content, the next day I join a seminar about social media. Since technology and the online trends evolve quickly it’s important to stay updated.
What would a perfect Sunday be like for you?
As I mentioned, I like the differences between the online world and the nature. Since I spend a lot of time in front of a computer screen during the weeks, a perfect Sunday would be spent in the forest with my boyfriend and our dogs.
Was there anything that surprised you when you started at Munters?
I didn’t realize how big Munters was or our global presence. I guess I thought Munters still was a classic Swedish company.
What would your friends say is your biggest strength?
I think they would say my curiosity and will to improve things. It’s something I have a lot of use of in my professional life too.
What would your best career advice be for a new employee who is about to start a career with Munters?
Talk to your new colleagues around the world, you will be amazed how much experience and ideas you’ll find within this company!
What’s the best part of your job?
Make improvements, for example when we launch new functionality on the website that makes life easier for both editors and visitors.
