Daniele Amorim

Daniele Amorim, a bilingual administrative analyst and communicator in Brazil, is part of the sustainability group at Munters. The group works to promote Munters' commitment to sustainable and ethical business practices, a safe and diverse workplace and community involvement.

What does sustainability mean to you?

For me, sustainability means having values that help our world become a healthier place to live but also address other issues, such as diversity and gender equality.

How do you or your team contribute to a more sustainable Munters?

I'm part of the sustainability group at Munters where we share ideas and experiences with colleagues from all over the world. One idea we had in Brazil was to send old exhibition banners to a cooperative that turns the material into bags. At the beginning of every year, we fill the bags with school material that we give to our employees' children.

Our facility is powered by renewable energy sources. We recycle the wastewater from our production process. The water is used in the paint industry and the solid parts are used as fuel in the cement industry.

How do you contribute to a more sustainable world?

I do my best to live a little more sustainably every day by taking small steps at home. I have a daughter and I teach her the importance of taking care of the planet.
