Troy sees straight through systems Munters dry air
By controlling the relative humidity (RH), the English company TROY – manufacturer of contact lenses – has created an ideal and stable conditions for an optimal level of production, thanks to Munters dehumidification systems.
Pharmaceuticals product are very "sensitive" to moisture, so it is important that the relative humidity (RH) and temperature in the production area, remain constant. For this reason, in 1984, Troy installed a Munters dehumidifier. This system has been running exceptionally well over 20 years. In 2005, they decided to replace him with a new team and thus benefit from technology improvements developed during those years.
Ken Smith, Troy (CL) UK, said: "The old equipment, after over 20 years of successful operation, was replaced by a new, quiter machine with more capacity, which has made dehumidification more efficient which means saving considerable costs in energy."
As the moisture is removed as steam through the rotor, the dehumidifier may work effectively even at low temperatures while maintaining the desired humidity conditions.
