Munters and Summit Helping Footballers of All Ages

Many football teams have to train out in the open air in all conditions and, typically, our English winters are not conducive to achieving the top quality training required by professional footballers.

Summit Structures, the leading supplier of steel-framed tension-membrane buildings, worked very closely with humidity experts Munters to provide a permanent structure to house an indoor training facility.
The buildings supplied by Summit Structures are rated as 500% more airtight than conventional structures so controlling Relative Humidity (RH) levels required advanced preparation. A properly designed dehumidification system can prevent the excessive build up of RH which occurs during peak activity levels such as sporting events. Installation of a Munters dehumidifier ensures that the relative humidity of the air inside the structure can be maintained at a constant level and eliminates problems that occur without proper management.

[H]The Munters process – how it works [/H]
All Munters’ sorption dehumidifiers are equipped with drying wheels, called rotors. The rotor contains small air ducts with a very large contact surface and is treated with a substance, such as silica gel, that easily absorbs moisture.

The running and maintenance of the dehumidifier is very cost effective so capital and operating costs are low.
