Internals for liquid

Internals for Liquid-Liquid Extraction

Munters Internals for Liquid-Liquid Extraction selectively removes specific dissolved components from liquid phases in packed columns. These tower internals for mass transfer tackle the challenging separation tasks posed across various industries where distillation is impractical.

Highlights

  • Prevent short-circuiting
  • Bring both the phases into close contact
  • Maximize dispersion through the packed column
  • Greater process flexibility and scalability
  • Handle various feeds and extract-to-feed ratios
  • Reduce energy use required for onward distillation

Product description

Liquid-Liquid Extraction is a separation process in which a feed stream containing dissolved components comes into contact with an immiscible solvent, forming a second liquid phase. It then selectively extracts the dissolved components from the feed. Munters internals for liquid-liquid extraction provide greater process flexibility and scalability. They promote contact between the dispersed and continuous aqueous phases and enhance separation efficiency. At the same time, they maximize dispersion through packed columns and prevent the short-circuiting of extraction services. Munters Internals for Liquid-Liquid Extraction include light- and heavy- phase dispersers. They support separation and purification requirements in various industries, including energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and other specialty industries.
