Depending on the types of products, different ways and levels of refrigeration exists. When cooled air is ventilated into areas for dairy, fruit or vegetables, there is danger of condensation on the outside of the ventilation and cooling system. The Munters NA4000 range is specifically designed to prevent these problems.
There are different ways how supermarkets present their refrigerated products to shoppers. The Colruyt chain in Belgium has separated areas in their stores that are kept at low temperature. These rooms are sealed off from the main supermarket area by plastic doors or flaps and are kept at 1°C where cheese and other dairy products are displayed, at 3°C in the area for fruit and 7°C for vegetables.
At these low temperatures, the refrigerated air will cause condensation on the outside of the duct and the air handling system if they are not properly protected. The Munters NA4000 system is specially designed for this demanding environment and meets the highest standards on hygiene and other important food-related requirements. Typical air volumes for the above mentioned applications are 2500 to 3200 m³/h.
Munters NA4000 systems can also be used in other applications that are supermarket related. Refrigerated logistic areas are covered by bigger size NA4000, just as areas where meat is processed. The Munters NA4000 can be built up to air volumes of 500.000 m³/h.
