Modern pig production is on a journey from small family sized production units to large companies with several production locations often located far from each other. This ongoing structural adjustment brings new challenges how to run and monitor modern pig production today. The presentation gives an insight to a number of tasks that management faces on a daily basis, and how modern technology can help collecting information for both monitoring purposes as well as benchmarking and in the end increasing performance in pig production.
