It is increasingly recognised that companies have a level of responsibility for human rights and labour conditions in the supply chain. The supply chain comprises suppliers, the company’s own production, co-operating partners and customers. This means that basic human rights and labour conditions must be respected in the delivery and purchase of goods and services.
It also includes issues such as health and safety and environmental concerns. Munters expects its suppliers, customers, end users and other partners to respect the principles in this Policy.
Munters is committed to the highest conditions for business ethics and integrity in every aspect of our operations.
Munters brand shall always be associated with a socially and ethically responsible behaviour, respect for human rights, good working conditions and sound business practice. Hard work, low cost, modest spending are words of honour at Munters.
Munters supports the ten principles on corporate social responsibility expressed in the UN Global Compact. These principles comprises rules on respect for basic human rights, labour rights - including regulations against child- and forced labour - environmental guidelines and rules against corruption.
Violations against Human Rights
Munters supports and respects internationally agreed human rights.
We shall assure that Munters in no way contributes to violations against human rights. We will also assure that Munters is not, directly or indirectly, actively or inactively, complicit to, or benefits from others actors´ violations against human rights.
Right to association and collective bargaining
Munters respects members of its personnel that wish to form and/or join unions or other associations. Munters encourages an open dialogue between union representatives and the company management.
Discrimination and equal opportunities
We offer all members of our personnel equal opportunities. Munters shall in no way participate in, or be complicit in discrimination based on ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, union membership, political affiliation, maternity, marital status or age towards any person, in matters of employment, retirement, educational benefits, advancement or termination of contracts.
Munters shall work against all forms of corruption, including extortion and bribery. Corruption can take many forms that vary from a minor use of influence to institutionalized bribery.
Corruption is defined as: "the abuse of entrusted power for private gain"
This can mean not only financial gain but also non-financial advantages.
Bribery is defined as: "An offer or receipt of any gift, loan, fee, reward or other advantage to or from any person as an inducement to do something which is dishonest, illegal or a breach of trust, in the conduct of the enterprise's business."In the menu on the left hand side you will find Munters Anti-bribery Manual and Policy as well as Munters Whistleblower Policy. There you will also find Munters Anti-Fraud Policy.
Extortion is defined as: "The solicitation of bribes is the act of asking or enticing another to commit bribery. It becomes extortion when this demand is accompanied by threats that endanger the personal integrity or the life of the private actors involved" .
Health, working environment and safety
Munters´ ambition is to provide a safe and healthy working environment at all working sites, in consideration of existing knowledge of activities and known risks. We shall take appropriate measures to prevent accidents and work related injuries and strive for a stimulating, motivating performance by our personnel.
Munters will respect all applicable national and international laws and regulations in relation to health and safety matters and manage our company in accordance with a high standard and always strive for improvements.
Munters shall, not only respect all applicable laws related to the environment, but also conduct its business with a view to contributing to a sustainable world. Environmental matters shall be considered in every aspect of our business.
Suppliers and partners
Munters shall use appropriate methods to evaluate and select suppliers and partners. Included in the evaluation process is the ability to comply with this policy and other relevant policies. We shall assure and document that suppliers and partners respect this policy in a long term view. Suppliers will also be evaluated in accordance with conditions for social responsibility in our supplier system evaluation.
