Most broilers are delivered to processing facilities at 45 days of age weighing around 2 kg. In order to maximise the bird’s performances a comfortable and healthy environment is required, consisting of:
• Oxygen supply and harmful gases exhaustion
• Heating during the cold season
• Ventilation for heat and moisture removal
• Additional cooling during warmest periods
Example of a ventilation system for moderate and hot conditions with: IW150 air inlet, EM50n exhaust fan, EM36 for minimum ventilation, GA95lp natural gas heater, EDC18 air circulator, CELdek® cooling pads, insulated tunnel doors and Farm Series controller.
