POPcool stands for Power Optimized Process for Cooling.
The heart of this new concept is optimum air quality, providing
a comfortable climate for people combined with the
best possible economic efficiency, both in terms of initial
cost and operation cost.
POPcool incorporates the Munters wheel technology for
dehumidification with high efficiency heat recovery. An
important design criteria is the absolute separation of supply
air and waste air, targeting two entirely independent air
cycles. Thanks to the Munters DH wheel technology the
sole use of fresh air becomes possible, there is no need for
the use of recirculated air because of running cost considerations.
Therefore it’s no longer necessary to use filters for
the waste air nor to install additional cooling coils to
remove humidity during summer. Cost saving can even be
made because the need for insulation on ductwork is
reduced.
Thanks to Munters technology condensate can be
eliminated – the essential advantage in terms of hygiene.
