Munters recently installed three Oasis™ Indirect Evaporative Air Coolers at the NV Energy data centre in Las Vegas, USA
Each unit rejects 250 kW of the data centers IT load. The data center utilizes hot-aisle containment and operates with a 75°F (24°C) supply with 105°F (41°C) return. Munters Indirect Evaporative Air Cooling units have Munters high efficiency patented EPX indirect coolers with supplemental DX cooling. The indirect evaporative cooling will reject 100% of the data center heat for a predicted 83% of annual hours. The remaining balance of the hours a small amount of refrigeration cooling will supplement the indirect to accomplish the required heat rejection. Predicted SEER for the Munters equipment is 46. Munters units have no recirculation air filters. A separate 20,000 CFM (33,980 m3/h) side-stream filter unit provides continuous particulate removal to keep the data hall clean.
